Changes to the Domestic RHI scheme Eligibility

The government have released today the small changes to the domestic RHI scheme due to come into play in spring 2015.

“Cooker Stoves”

From spring 2015 “Cooker Stoves” will be eligible for the domestic RHI. (Given that the installation meets all other scheme requirements and the stove is registered on the product eligibility list)The Department of Energy & Climate Change have today released a document defining a cooker stove as a “biomass stove with a back boiler that are predominantly designed for space and hot water heating but can also be used for cooking”.

Already installed? Don’t panic, all installations installed before the amendments come into force will have until the 31st July 2015 to apply!
